Beachville Over Cooperstown

Beachville Over Cooperstown

On June 4, 1838, the first recorded game of baseball was played in Beachville, Ontario. It occurred one year before the game in Cooperstown, New York which is often cited as the birthplace of baseball.

As Canadians, we take pride in this early contribution to the sport of baseball.  By commemorating the Beachville game, we celebrate not just a historic event but also the spirit of Canadian baseball.

The Beachville game is a testament to our country's early and influential role in the development of baseball. While Cooperstown often gets the spotlight, it's important to recognize and celebrate our contributions to the sport.

J. Birdy Baseball Co. prominently showcases the number 38. To us, it is more than just a number; it represents the year 1838, a testament to our baseball heritage and the beginning of the game's journey in Canada.
